Trey Calloway is a singer/songwriter from North Carolina. The son of a preacher, Trey grew up singing in church and was a seasoned performer by age 10. While southern and contemporary gospel were his first musical loves, he was instantly mesmerized by the sounds of country music after hearing a Garth Brooks Greatest Hits album his parents bought him. A deep understanding and passion for the rocking, boot stomping, country music of artists such as Clint Black, Alan Jackson, and Travis Tritt grew within him, and he knew early on without a shadow of a doubt that he would make music his career. Trey began writing songs, playing guitar, and performing in clubs at age 15. He fronted multiple bands and won numerous awards in North Carolina before moving to Myrtle Beach, SC where he formed The Trey Calloway Band and released his debut Nashville album "Carolina Man" for which Trey was nominated as the Carolina Country Music Awards (CCMA) Artist of the Year and won CCMA Song of the Year and Gospel Song of the Year.
After playing the eastern circuit for years and opening shows for Joe Diffie, Tracy Lawrence, Pat Green, Edwin McCain, Trent Tomlinson and Craig Campbell, Trey moved to Nashville in January 2022 where he became one of the featured acts at the legendary Alan Jackson’s Good Time Bar and has played the Tennessee State Fair Opry Stage each year since. In addition to inspiring and energizing live audiences, Trey is passionate about songwriting with 30+ original song releases available for streaming on music platforms. Trey was recently named Country Songwriter of the Year by the Texas Country Music Association, recognized as "One to Watch" by the Nashville Singer-Songwriter Association International, won prestigious Josie Music Awards (JMA) for Social Impact Video of the Year and Songwriter Achievement, and is currently nominated for JMA Modern Country Artist and Vocalist of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Song of the Year and Songwriter Achievement.
